[SOLVED] Palit Geforce GTX 970 4gb vs Sapphire R9 290 4gb.

Hey guys,

Just a question about these two graphics cards. Which one is better in terms of gaming?
Also what are the power requirements for the sapphire r9 290?

Both the GPUs are of the same performance level. The recommended PSU for the R9 290 is a min 550 Watts PSU.

I'm gonna go with the R9 290 simply because it has a full 4GB of vRAM; the GTX 970 only had 3.5GB at normal speed, and the other 500MB was much slower. So, anything over 3.5GB would cause performance loss. I've seen that in some of the new AAA game benchmarks.
