Basically, I add +200 core and +425 mem clock to my graphics card (Samsung memory), it's the most stable overclock for me. It stays under 80c @ 80% fan speed, fans become a little louder than what I am used to. Is it safe to let the card stay at temps like this? I've read that this specific graphics card is not that good(?) in terms of overclocking.

I tried adding +250 core and +500 mem, stable, although temps reached to 80c-85c @ 80% fan speed. I tried adjusting the fan speed to 100% and temps rolled back down to 79c-81c but it is too noisy for me when I am gaming. I also have good airflow in my case (well, I presume).

Is it okay if I let the fans be 100% speed at times when the card becomes too hot? I use afterburner btw.

While were at it, I'm planning to change to another gtx 1060 card since I got this one for free. Any suggestions? I am just gaming @ 1080p, so 1060 3gb variants are kind of enough for me.

Thanks in advance.

It's up to you. I personally think that anything below 90 degrees C is OK, but if you think it's too hot, maybe try adding more casefans or buy a new GPU.

I've heard that this graphics card starts to throttle at around 85c? Not sure but kind of worried about that as well.
