Everyone,

I can get a GS70 for around $550 whereas I can get a GS120 for $100
more.. Is it worth the extra money for the new model?

thanks!

Count your blessings. US$650 equals AUS$941 currently, but the GS120
sells here for AUS$1,740 at the best price I've found in a store, and
the best I can find for the GS200 at any store that has it in stock is
AUS$2199.

You should check the features of both cameras, as I think the GS70 has
a focus ring, but the GS120 doesn't. The GS200 does. I think there
is also a diffrence in still shot sizes in the US GS70 and GS120
models.

Australian ebay has plenty of the gs120's for $1300 aussie, yet the same
supplier sells the gs70 for $100 more! Supposedly local factory warranty
applies.

Buying at wholesale price from my Aus panasonic distributor the gs70a-s
will cost me almost $1700. They dont supply the gs120. Is the a-s suffix
just the local model signifier?

What is the different between the new model and the old model? If they
improve the stabilizer, more optical zoom and LCD screen than it worth it.

From things that I am reading, pretty much Panasonic took features away
and they did not fix the stuff you mention below.

I ve the GS70. The stabilizer is not that effeciency. when the place is too
dark, the stabilizer won't function. For the LCD, you ve to twist to certain
angle to see properly. If you see directly it glare specially at outdoor. I
think the viewing angle for LCD is limited. For picture quality, no
complain. That is my purpose to purchase the model.
