Panasonic monitor keeps restarting itself

Hello a few weeks ago I got a panasonic monitor for my new gaming computer since I had no monitor before and it was working perfectly fine until today. When I was playing a game the monitor would suddenly turn off, display a "no signal detected" message and then start booting up again and back into my windows log in screen. It's happened twice today and it's quite concerning.

I was looking up possible reasons and apparently it could be my computer or its video card though my tower itself stays on when the monitor reboots. Is it possibly from overuse of the computer? I have been playing a lot of games since I got my new PC so maybe it could be stressing out the video card...

Can someone please tell me why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks.

Start with GPU temps at load. I always recommend HWMonitor simply because it tells you the lowest and highest temp since you launch it. So make sure you run it before you start gaming and then it will show idle and and the highest load temp while you were playing. It's not likely to be the monitor itself.

Alright I got the problem again with another game and I downloaded hwmonitor but I don't really know what I'm supposed to be looking for. Which number of volts/watts/whatever is normal and what numbers indicate abnormal amounts?

For the GPU you need to go to the bottom and click the + signs, so it shows voltages and temperatures. We are concerned with temps. You will see 3 temps: the current temp, the lowest "min" since you turned the software on and the "max" the highest since you turned it on. If you turn it on as soon as you start your computer, let it run in the background, then after playing a game for a while, bring up the HWMonitor software and you will see the low and high temps. The only other important temps for now are the first "tempertures" CPU and Mainboard. What I assume is the problem is most likely your GPU and CPU temps "max" temperatures. You should game for at least 20 minutes before you stop and check it. IF you have two or more monitors you can leave it running on the non-gaming monitor. THE GPU setting will actually have the name of you card. Mine says "AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series". IF you GPU temps are over 90C, then it is running hot, although some GPU's will tolerate this, others won't. THE CPU max temps really depends on exactly which CPU you have. Intels will usually run hotter than AMD's, but let me know the models of you CPU and GPU too.

My CPU is a AMD FX-8150 with a 3.6ghz speed and the card and AMD Radeon HD 7850.
While I was running the game the temp of my GPU was averaging at 40°C with the max at 45 so it doesn't seem too bad.

Also is there a way to set the status of threads back to unsolved on this forum?

Well, your GPU is running quite cool! DO you have more than 2 monitors? Are you running any Active DP to DVI adapters? Have you unplugged and plugged back in the 6 pin connector ( at the PS too if it is modular ) just to make sure you don't have a poor connection? Do you have an older GPU that you could try? What is your PS? The PS could possibly have in intermittent problem or not be powerful enough for your card. Does your PS have 1 or 4 12v rails. Perhaps there are too many devises on the same rail if it is a 4 rail PS. Sorry this is kinda late, but I guess we just have to try looking at everything else, being that your GPU is so cool, your case probably has very good air flow or you keep your room quite cool, which is good for PCs! Could you tell me you MB, CPU, RAM, and PS? DO you overclock your CPU, What were the temps on the CPU? DO you have another monitor you could plug in just to compare. I know I am reaching, but it's got to be something!

Whoa, whoa slow down xD
No I only have one monitor, this is my first desktop computer ever. I don't know what a DP to DVI adapter is, nor what a 6 pin connector or what PS is either. No older GPU to try, and what do you mean by telling you my Mb?

I have 16gb of RAM and my CPU is a AMD FX-8150 though. I'll try seeing what the temp is on the CPU.
