I might sound dumb asking a question like this on Tom's Hardware but it is fairly simple. I'm trying to jailbreak my iPhone 4S with Pangu but when I try to download the only 73 MB file it takes up to 15 minutes to 2 hours. Also after downloading, I get the error that it is not a valid win32 application. I know I'm using the correct site and my friend is having the same issue on his PC. Is there anyone who can confirm that it may be fixed or can provide a mirror?

We can discuss it in the same way we can talk about rooting Android but we don't offer assistance as such. That said, a responsible forum would advise against it rather than not respond at all.

Apple has been blocking Pangu's attempts to keep up wih its software so it's hardly surprising you had difficulty.

Your main concern is what might have been happening to your PC in the background for the whole time you were connected to a download site. Pangu and the likes could easily be hacked or mimicked which makes it a risky place to go. Run all the AV and anti-malware scanners as soon as possible.

If you don't like an Apple device as offered from the manufacturer, why buy one?
