I recently built a computer and have been super paranoid about everything since. Everything works fine but I constantly worry about the smallest things.

I purchased a fan controller (NZXT Sentry 2) and have read about quite a few people leaving reviews on newegg about it catching on fire. I installed it last week and have put several hours on the computer and everything seems fine so far. Should I be worried? I'm even hesitant to leave my computer unattended for too long. Additionally, I put a magazine paper of my favorite NBA team logo to cover the rat's nest of wires that the fan controller caused hidden in the 5.25 drive bays. I'm worried that should the fan controller catch fire, the magazine paper could add a bit of fuel to the fire to possibly damage the nearby motherboard or the paper could maybe build up some static electricity to damage the motherboard.

Thanks for the feedback.

Your best to get rid of the magazine paper to avoid any possibilities of this happening and giving you a piece of mind even if you have to look at a pile of wires after all it is better than looking at a pile of ashes 😛
