The stereo system I am going to be using is the LG CM4550. I have (2) 3 ohm speakers that came with it and I was wondering if I could mix (2-3) more 6 ohm speakers from an old system. I don't want to ruin a new unit or speakers! Please Help!!!!

Solution
You can use an impedance matching speaker selector to add 2 more speakers to it. That will maintain the impedance so it won't blow up right away but if you try to make it play louder than it can it may shut down or even blow up.
Be aware that the mini system power rating is pretty much fake so how loud it can play on a parade float is very iffy.
