Parameter is incorrect (0x80070057)

When trying to create a recovery disc I get a message saying- The parameter is incorrect (0x80070057) what can I do?

This happens often with media - try a different brand disk.
and with OEM pc (Dell, HP...) as you are expected to use the Create Recovery Media option and their software kills the windows software.
