i cant really think of a good title name for the thread so..

my question is, are these parts compatible with each other?

Newegg List

i read almost all the reviews for them, but i might of missed something. Can never be sure, its been ages since i looked for parts, and computer parts get outdated fast.

they said that the Ram, would only be 800 and not 1066 because its not a AMD2+? that right?

my budget is only 300$ max, and they are the only parts i only need.

mainly i play games and encode movies, WoW right now is at 10 fps with my old 2.4ghz p4 Prescott, and x1650 agp x8 vid card.

if anyone knows better parts cheaper or same price but better, let me know.

Thank you for your time.

:EDIT: small edit for more info.. i built this computer back when i had a geforce 4 mx, i replaced the MB over 4 times, and the CPU once, same speed just a lil newer.

Had a Geforce FX 5900Ultra when it first came out, damn that thing was fast...for its time 😀 after BioShock came out i got the x1650.. same FPS in games just the ability to play SM3.0 games, bioShock, fallout 3, etc. i hope with the new parts and a dual core i can run GTA4 and other games with 20-30+fps at 1024x768, im used to having all the eye candy off.

made the list after a few days of looking around and getting up to speed on all the parts, then just put it in my wish list and hit share, took the link from that.

This The Ram?

if so thats a lil too much for me, im already at 298$ for it all with shipping and tax 🙁

:edit: i must be blind as a bat, i see no submit button or anything of the like, have to click the icon button and hit enter...must because of NoScript or Adblock

do you mean

This?

is it just the cost of the CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7 ghz, that makes it better than AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 3.1GHz ? that and being able to get better ram.

:edit: just looked it up and it seems you can OC AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7 ghz to 3.3ghz with little effort 😀 nice

Yea i know, there both about the same, i think the 7750 probably has a higher multiplier, i'd have to research it, dont know many amd's

If you were going to oc, you would need to spend extra on thermal compound and a cpu cooler

i dont really OC anything i get, wanted to on my 5900u but never did.

forgot to say what my PSU is, im 99% sure it can handle everything im gona get but i like to be sure.

Link

not the same color box and PSU, but same amps and volts

am i gona need a new PSU
