So Ive been having some issues with my pc recently which I believe to be caused by my RAM, so I am thinking about upgrading my RAM and GPU! Although I am not sure what is best for my money/CPU can handle. I currently have a Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2060, 16GB T-force 3200Mhz, ROG STRIX B450 F. I would prefer 16GB of RAM, but If there is a cheap set of 32GB I wouldnt mind spending a bit more on it! As for the GPU I would prefer a GPU thats around £300/£450, if I need to upgrade my CPU aswell I wouldnt mind do that either! Thank you:)

Please follow the stylization of this thread;

You might want to also mention the make and model of your PSU and it's age.

Don't guess, test your ram.
Run memtest86 or memtest86+
They boot from a usb stick and do not use windows.
You can download them here:
If you can run a full pass with NO errors, your ram should be ok.

Running several more passes will sometimes uncover an issue, but it takes more time.
Probably not worth it unless you really suspect a ram issue.

I have already done all of this and other tests which led it being my memory!:)

OK, so let's fix the ram.
First thing, are there any motherboard bios updates that might address ram issues?
Do not flash just on speculation.

Are both ram sticks from the same matched kit?
What is the part number for the kit.
Mismatched ram can cause strange issues.
You are on your own there. Possibly you can get such ram to work by increasing the ram voltage above spec.

Test the ram, one stick at a time in the default slot.
Do they pass?
If not contact teamgroup customer support and a replacement kit.
Ram will have a lifetime warranty.

I would start by adding another set of that RAM for a total of 32GB and adding this cpu after updating your bios.

Would you be able to tell me where I can check if there are any bios updates! I think im on the latest version but you can never be too sure. The ram kits are both the same, the part numbers are
DIMM_A2 TEAMGROUP-UD4-2400
DIMM_B2 TEAMGROUP-UD4-2400

Your bios screen should identify your bios level.
CPU-Z will also tell you the level.
Here are the downloads for your motherboard:
The most current is 5003.
You are probably ok there.
Updating on speculation is always risky. A Interrupted flash can leave you with nothing.

To be considered matched, both sticks must have been bought included in a single package.
Two identical part numbers bought separately are NOT matched.
ryzen is particularly sensitive to this.

Start with getting ram to run at the 2400 stock speed.
If your ram were capable of running at 3200, it would have been used in a 3200 speed kit that sells for more.

Okay! Should I turn it down then just play some games and see how it runs with that?
