So I have a 128gb flash drive, I want to partition it so half of it can be used for storage, and the other half I can use to boot into mintos. Is this possible?

Solution
It may or may not work depending on oS on it but it doesn't even need to be partitioned, just make a folder for all the other files you want to keep on it.
Make your usb bootable first, then simply create a DATA folder and keep your data in that folder. I recommend having two of them, just in case one develops a "logical" error (thus forcing a format), the other one probably will work just fine.
