Was he installing Linux or was it already on another drive and he booted on to it?my brother came to my house a few days ago and said he wanted use my computer . He told me he was going to do something with linux .
He was installing linux i think .Was he installing Linux or was it already on another drive and he booted on to it?
Ah ok. Sometimes Linux will try to install the grub bootloader on to another drive in order to maximise the size of the drive in which he tried to install Linux in. If you're trying to install Linux without interrupting other drives you should make sure that the drives are not connected to the computer. He was installing linux i think .
So basically a boot loader starts the particular Linux software (kinda like a bios). Linux will try to install that on other drives in your computer so that it will take less space.i'm not that good with computers so can explain it a little less complicated ? thanks for everything
