partition size

this question appears to be inherently flawed, therefore I am not sure you found your answer at the fore-mentioned site - albeit it had good info.

FAT16 limits you to 2gb, not NT. Have you figured out your queries, or are you still lost?

who mentioned fat 16?
if you are using NT4, use NTFS (whats the point in not doing- why choose nt anyway if you dont need the security), as long as you download the atapi.sys file from HERE and insert it during setup when asked if you have any extra controllers, it will install just fine onto a large drive.

erm I seem to remember you need to boot from the 3 boot disks or you dont get asked for additional controllers, I may be wrong thoug, I havent installed nt4 for a while, also I think there is still a limit to partition size, about 8 gig i think but dont quote me.

I mentioned Fat16 - only because it is the only thing I know of that will limit you to 2g. So I was guessing he might be confusing the two.

The Boot disk for NT that contains the sys file can be a maximum of 7.8g, but the bulk of apps and os files don't have to be on that same partition (although I see no reason not to at least keep all the NT os files together).
