Recently my friend has been attempting to help me install ubuntu studio as a dual boot with Windows 10. However, whenever I get to the partition segment comes the weird part. So I shrink the file size off of my C: drive, I have 500 GB and I shrink 50000 MB. Now I have 48.83 GB of unallocated data. I've tried formatting the max 50000 MB and I get an error message saying "There is not enough space available on the disk(s) to complete this operation." I also get this message for any amount I decide to format, I've tried 47000 MB and I've tried 25000 MB, same message. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Hey there, Speczz.

This sounds pretty odd indeed as you should be able to make a new partition without too much of a hassle out of the unallocated space, which is available. How are you trying to create this partition anyway? You are supposed to format it while installing Ubuntu. Check out this tutorial, it might prove useful in your case http://www.everydaylinuxuser.com/2014/05/install-ubuntu-1404-alongside-windows.html.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.
