Partitioned drive d show on my computer

Hello,

I just partitioned my brand new Samsung notebook with windows 8. The new partitioned drive can be seen in Disk Management but it DOES NOT APPEAR IN MY COMPUTER. PLEASE HELP.

Is the additional partition formatted?

Have you tried to assign a new letter to these partitions and format them before you first use them?
