SSD's are not meant to be partitioned, you can do it, but doing so may severely impact the SSD's performance. It will degrade faster than normal.
I recommend not doing it.
Sorry but I unselected this as the best answer because its completely wrong.
Partitioning has no harmful effects on an SSD at all and it does not partition like a traditional hard drive either. Wear-leveling will put files where it wants to to make use of the whole drive - so partitions are logical only. And from a logical point of view - its an easy way to separate OS's for a dual boot system or data files & programs...
