I will be building my first PC very soon and was wondering how to install windows 10. My build will have a HDD an SSD and an Optical Drive. I heard about making partitions and other things from videos but do not know what partitions are or how to make them.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Do not try to use partitions unless you have a special need.

Install windows on your ssd. Leave the hard drive disconnected until done.
You can connect it later.
Use the hard drive to store large sequential files such as videos and backups. All else goes on the windows "C" drive
Make the "C" drive at least 240gb. defer on the hard drive if budget is an issue.
