Is there a limit to how many partitions you can have on 1 HD?

I have a 80GB HD and would like to have 7-8 partitions
I'm running Win98SE

I think he's asking if there is a limit, not if you need to limit it.

You have a limit for as many drive letters possible: from C to Z (except one probably for a CD drive). After counting it, it's 22, so you're fine.

yes, there is a limit in basic disks such as a hard disk in the windows 98 family. you can have three primary partitions and one extended partition, and no more. however, you can create as many logical drives in the extended partition as you want.
