apparently playing fetch with the mobo was a bad idea.

plugged everything in, turned on psu, hit the power button on case, and this is what happens.

1 can hear pus fan come on
2 lights on orange lights on mob light up
3 led light on case power button come on
4 does this for 12-13 seconds
5 turns off for 1-2 seconds
6 repeats forever

any ideas before i take it all out of the case and breadboard the bastard?

RAM installed in wrong slot, sumbitch is staying in the case! Got it to come on :)

genuinely surprised, and extremely pleased. now to install the IO then if solitaire and email time BABAYYY who this thing is fast!

what is a good way to test the "quality" of the build. typical specs used to measure performance.

i'd like to compare this to the Dell i bought, both cost roughly the same
