Build Advice Parts list critique plz

Hello!
Looking to build a nice 1440 gaming PC. The 5900X is a place holder, I am thinking of getting the 5800X3D on release. Same for the GPU, 3080 or 6900XT still not sure. I do not believe the price is worth getting a 3080TI it's not that much better for the money it seems. I do want Gen 4 and would like a good x570 board and was also thinking of adding a 2.5 SSD for the OS and save the two N.2's for storage etc. I would appreciate any feedback on the parts listed. I would say at this point my budget is $2,500.00 would rather it be lower, if it can.

You want 3600mhz RAM for Ryzen cpu's and that case needs an exhaust fan so it doesn't become a hotbox. btw that 360mm AIO is overkill.

Good call on the RAM! I was thinking of using the three fans that came with that case in other areas and using the AIO for the front. Also thinking of changing that PSU to the EVGA 850w gold Super Nova. Im not sure about MainGear- never have heard of them. I don't want the PC to go BOOM.

Maingear are SI so they are not building PSUs, someone else builds for them. Which means you can't really 100% trust them. And in any case 3080 or better GPU needs a known quality PSU to run well.

No such thing as 'overkill cooling'. The 5900x can run warm when pushed, so having a more than capable cooler simply means the cpu has no chance of overheating.

Op. Build is fine except for the psu. That's a wild card. There's no reviews on it I can find anywhere other than a couple of unboxings. Reddit has one running a 5950x and 3090, quietly, which says quite a bit for its efficiency. Whether it's trustworthy is anyone's guess, but Maingear did reply to a post claiming it was designed to be competition for Seasonic and Corsair Platinum psus with a 10yr warranty.

You want NVMe running Windows. Everything runs through C drive, so if you have Sata running Windows, everything will run at Sata speeds. Cache, drivers, all of it is Windows. You don't play games directly from their location, it all gets shunted through Windows first.
