Parts list suggestions

I had a 3550k with a z77 board that took a dump on me, magic smoke, after almost 8 years. Now, i have some parts that i can reuse. Here the list of the reuseable parts.

CPU cooler: Cooler Master Gemini II
PSU: EVGA nova G2 1300 (got it for 120, dont judge)
Case: Xigmatek Assassin Full Size
HDD: 2 2tb Western Digital
BluRay: BluRay (redundancy at its finest)
Video Card: AMD Hd7990

Parts i cant use, 4 sticks of 4gb DDR4 ram, processor, motherboard.

Now im contemplating an upgrade, i will go I5 7600k, 2 8gb GSkill ram (rgb cuz rgb), Asus STRIX z270 board, a 256 GB m.2 ssd.

Should i also replace the video card, or go with more ram? I was thinking either a 1070 since i dont game at anything higher then 1080p due to my horrible eyesight (anything smaller then that and my head hurts).

It looks like you like Asus boards so that Z270-E is perfect with a little bit of RGB + Wi-Fi / Bluetooth but the other board is - ASRock > Fatal1ty Z270 Gaming K6
