SUP, i want to buy an ATI card that is passively cooled, are there any out there that are comparable to the XFX7950GT cards? i paly 2142, F.E.A.R and GRAW.

Thanks alot l8er :)

The fastest stock card with passive cooling will be an x1600, FEAR wont be all that fun...

If you want to cough up some extra cash for a thermalright hr-03 cooler, you can make anything passive.

High end (x1800+) ATI cards are notorious for running toasty. Cleeve wrote a review of the HR-03 on Tom's somewhere and I don't think it could handle the x1900xtx passively, but with a quiet 80mm fan attached I'm sure it would do fine.

Any reason you need absolute silence? There are many GPU coolers that are only audible over the most silent systems.

Arctic Cooling Accelero, Zalman VF series, HR-03, etc.

Yah, i would like a quiet GFX card because my comp is so close to where i game and chill. my comp is in my room and its kind of small. i got a water cooled system and passively cooled my chipset; i now have to work on my GFX card. i was thinking of the XFX7950GT by fatal1ty but i'm an ATI Fanboy; if i have to go XFX than i will.

Thanks l8er :)

Passive cooled gfx cards are not a good idea without good system airflow, as you are watercooling you don't even have a CPU fan.

To be honest it mostly just moves the fan requirement off the gfx card and to a case fan, your best bet is to get a normal gfx card and add it to your water loop.

The idea of a stable performance PC with no fans is a myth, the ones that do exist run hot and unstable or are slow and horrible.
