Are you able to update the anti virus and scan entire system?
Are you saying that the computer won't boot up at all? Describe more of the symptoms.

are you able to try this?
Restore does not erase your personal files and is reversible.
click start
click all programs
click accessories
click system tools
click system restore
check the box that says restore my computer to an earlier time, click next
select a bold date on the calendar, a date before the problem started, click next
follow through with the restore directions
restart the computer after it finishes
if the system restore does not work, select an even earlier bold date on the calendar and repeat the procedure
try this with at least four earlier dates before giving up and trying something else

[does the system restore applies to the external drives (portable drives) also?
any way, thanks 4 d reply, i wil make a try.

System restore will do no good towards returning your drive to service.

If you are able, remove the drive from the external case.
Connect drive directly to mainbaord.
Start computer, check for drive presence in Windows Explorer.
If drive is present, and you have access to data, your external case has a failed USB interface.
If drive is not present, drive has likely failed.
