Password is incorrect error message, but my password is correct

I was using my computer a 64 bit HP Notebook when I put it aside and when I picked it back up, it had the screen saver. I typed in the password and I got the error message. I can only access the password screen. Caplock is not on and I used the on-screen keyboard and typed in the password which was correct and I still get the error message. THIS COMPUTER DOES NOT HAVE A MICROSOFT ACCT. I did not change a password, this computer just decided that my password is no longer correct. What can I do?

maybe you can factory the HP notebook or reset the password to login in.

Are you sure you aren't using the wrong password? The one you need is the User password and not anything to do with the Microsoft Account.
