My Father-In-Law lost password to his win2k system

Winternals ERD Commander is one solution. It doesn't recover a password, but
it allows you to reset the administrator password. With that you can gain
access to everything else. They have a workstation and a server version.
There may be a freeware/shareware product out there too.
