How can I find out the ISP passsword that was given to me , I presume when this set up was first established, I have no recollection of being given one.

It can be an all in one device yes.
But typically your modem plugs into the wall / or phone line. And the router is the second device that plugs into the modem. (router) is what provides the wireless signal. When you look at the bottom the sticker will say "wireless or security key".

If there isn't one then there are other ways of finding it. For example: http://www.microsoft.com/Surface/en-US/support/surface-with-windows-rt/hardware-and-drivers/how-to-find-your-wireless-network-password

depends what you mean by isp password

theres types of different passwords involved with routers and internet

ie--wireless password--used to connect wirelessly to the router--usually written on back or bottom of router

then there can be a login name and password to login to your isp website

for example to read email or access your account

then there are broadband user name and password--most routers have these pre-installed

but if you buy a new router you wont be able to connect to the internet without these if its a router not supplied by your isp

or router login details--also sometimes written on the router

so would help if you clarified what you are trying to do that you need it for
