Password?

My friend just recently got a computer. The computer is running Windows 2000 Server. When he booted the computer, it asks for the Windows password. He bought the computer at a garage sale, and there is no way of contacting the original owner. Is there a master password that will work, or is there a program that will bypass this? Or does he have to reformat. The computer did not come with a operating system disc. So a reformat would be a last resort. Thanks.

I would recommend reinstalling anyways since you do not want 2000 server on a home computer unless you enjoy long boot times, resource hogging and tons of useless (to the home user) server programs.
