Hi,
I am pretty new in building my own system, not to mention I never really overclocked CPU or Memory, however I have done tons of research, was reading many forum posts, but still cant get expected results from my system OC.
My problem doesn't sound complicated, and I can already see from forum posts in Memory section, that I am not only one who has similar problem. However I found a particularly interesting topic that refers to my problem completely, but doesn't provide me correct solutions. So we can refer to this thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/296313-30-skill-ripjaws-2133mhz-17000-asus-maximus-extreme
My question is: how I can overclock Patriot Intel Extreme Master, Limited Ed 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 memory to 2133MHZ in Bios and at the same time have positive stress test using this application IntelBurnTestV2? And also does it even make sense for me to overclock memory to 2133MHZ with latency 11-11-11-27 at all, an how much of a win Ill get in comparison to default 1600MHZ as everyone are saying that there wont be much of a value in memory OC.
My current parts:
Patriot Intel Extreme Master, Limited Ed 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 (4 of them are in red slots, currently running at 1600MHZ)
Asus Rampage IV Extreme EATX LGA2011
CPU Intel Core i7-3930K 3.2GHz
CPU Cooler Corsair H100 Liquid
GeForce GTX 670 4GB
XFX 850W ATX12V / EPS12V
And add to it I am running 8 fans in my case, all functioning and everything functions properly. I have OCd only CPU from 3.8 TB (Turbo Boost) to 4.4 with 1.33 voltage Manual and stress test just past. I will overclock probably more, however I need first to understand what is wrong with my card setup and why XMP profile doesn't work, even when I did set all BIOS to default.
Thanks
