Pavilion Upgrade

I have a Pavilion 701 with HP's Samba motherboard based on the MS-6367 Ver.
1. It's a Socket A 266MHz FSB. The documentation says it is compatible
with Athlon XP 2100+ or higher processors. Does that mean ANY Athlon XP
designed for a 266MHz fsb will work?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

Here is something that may help.

One way to check may be to go to this site,
http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/OEM/HP/
and find other systems that use that motherboard. Then,
look up those systems on the HP site and see what the fastest processor used
is.

This may not give the correct solution as different revisions of the board
may affect whether a particular speed is supported or not.

Make sure that you verify that the model you look up does include the same
motherboard, including revision.
