Pay gtx 1060 6gb keeps crashing

Can anyone help me my graphics card seems to crash one hour into playing pubg. Have have built my pc on a budget I have,
Ryzen 5 1500X
Msi pro carbon monoxide
Pny gtx1060 6 gb
16gb of corsair 2666 ram I think ddr4
In a corsair alpha spec case
Psu corsair cx550 WATT

I run it on my 42 lcd LG tele through hdmi
Everything is in order I think as I'm new to custom build.
It seems to always crash and I don't get a connection to the TV after about an hour, not sure what the temps are for the cpu and gpu, please help

Could be temps...so check them. If you have no way to check them, download Afterburner.

Just plays pubg and the gpu temp was inbetween 64 c and 70 c I only played for 30 minutes then it crashed and no signal to tv

Well...those temps don't seem our of the ordinary.

Although it could be a bad component in the video card that starts to fail as it heats up...and once it heats up to a certain point it fails.....even though it shouldn't.

Are you updated to the latest nvidia drivers?

Here's another idea to help you determine if it's temperature related. You need to somehow be able to control the fan speed on the video card.

Try this....set the fans at 100% as soon as you start up. It it takes significantly longer to crash...you know it's temperature related.

Or you could do the opposite and set the fans low...and if it crashes quicker you know it's temp related. Just be careful don't let the temps go to high. The max temp for an NVidia card in 94C....PNY is probably similar.

I will boost fan speed to 100% see if it prolongs gaming time if I could reach two hours gaming time I'll be happy but if not I have a computer fair Sunday so will pick another gpu up and take 1060 back as it's defective cheers for info guys will let you know how it goes also I updated driver when I got it three weeks ago and had an update for nvidia experience two days ago

Ok sorry for late reply
So my x16 slot is defective so I put the card in X 8 pci slot and works like a charm I'm getting 70 - 100 fps on pubg
Only downside is I can't take mobo back out of store bring back policy
