Hello, I'm paying for 130Mbps internet both ways, but I'm only getting around 100 up to 800 KBps download speed, no matter the server or the site I'm downloading from. Any help would be appreciated.

Modem/Router is approx. 20 feet from PC

Make sure your Ethernet cable is CAT 5e or CAT 6. If the cable says CAT 5 on it, your network will be limited to a max of 100 Mbps. CAT 5e and CAT 6 will allow your network to reach theoretical speeds of 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps respectively. Also if your router only supports wireless capabilities on the 2.4 GHz band, then depending on the class of your router, that could also limit your speed. Routers that have a 5 GHz band allow for faster speeds than those with only a 2.4 GHz band, but if your router is fairly recent, the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band shouldn’t be an issue for you. Does your network have a lot of devices connected to it?
