I bought a Dell U2711, monitor and it has PBP,, does this mean I could run two computers at the same time on this monitor?

I would like to attach one with a VGA cable and one with a DVI cable.

Can I attach these two computers and run one at a time?

If this is not possible could you please tell me what PBP is and does?

Thanks Janis

<G>PbP seems to be the Big Secret! Yes. You hook computer 1 to port 1 and computer 2 to port 2. Usually, the ports on the monitor are the same type, HDMI or DP. I think that each of the two displays then takes up half of the larger screen...I do not know if there is a way to adjust the sizes.

I've been looking for an affordable PBP monitor, 32 or 34 inches, to run my mac pro on one half and W10 on the other half. I suspect that smaller would end up being like working on a 14" monitor (as I am doing now....<LOL>

But it's hard to find, most site descriptions, incl Amazon, Newegg, and others, do not consider PBP to be anything at all, so do not include it in the description so searching on it won't find even a qualifying monitor!
