Question pc and monitor turn on; peripherals dont work

hello,

i turned on my pc today and was not able to use my keyboard nor mouse. i have an led strip connected by usb that is working and my headset led is turning on. whenever i plug my mouse or keyboard out then back in the backlight flash for a second then turn off. even if i unplug and plug in just the mouse both flash on and off. i may have downloaded a "virus" but not sure. my cpu is two months old, as well as my motherboard. i am not sure the issue. my monitor does turn on btw.

asus strx motherboard

(im not a crazy builder with a lot of knowledge so i need help)

exact model of the motherboard?
try the front port? or different usb port?
make and model of the psu?

Post PC specs please. It appears that yours has an issue and isn't actually booting up.

update: i used a ps/2 mouse and logged in and did a system restore. now im in an error loop code 0xc000021a and is now constantly doing such. i have no option to open bios or an auto repair after were i can use command prop to work on and etc. please help
