Question PC as a DVR for Ring Cameras

Ring does a good job capturing footage but is it possible to also record footage from 3 camera by using an older (5 yrs) PC? If yes, what does it need in terms of SW, wiring,Hard Drive specs etc? Any opinions?

So I'm not familiar with Ring cameras. How do they normally record their footage? If they work like any other IP camera, sure an older PC is perfectly suited to this.

It connects tothe home network via wifi. What software would be able to capture and manage the footage on the hard drive?

Okay, but what does it record to? Blueiris is a name I hear commonly, but most ip cameras save videos in standard formats so you can use anything to view the videos.
