PC Audio being picked up from microphone

Hi, I just got a HyperX Cloud headset about 2 days ago. Everything about it is fine, except whenever I'm talking to my friends in discord, they can hear all the output sounds. It's weird, because when I mute my mic with the in-line controls, the output sound actually become louder and they can still hear it.

Can you elaborate a bit? Where can I find this option?

I'm not in front of a comouter right now. I'll try it by memory..
Lower right corner of screen, next to the clock. You will find a speaker icon. Right click, sound properties. Right click headphones on output. Search the tabs for an option similar to what I said. If it is on, turn it off.

I see "playback devices" "recording devices" "sounds" and "troubleshoot sound problems". What I've done so far is go into recording devices and disabled stereo mix and line in.

It is possible that you headphone speakers are also working as a mic. Go to playback devices and check the tabs for a "listen this device" option or something like that on one of the tabs and see that is not checked.

"Listen to this device" is not checked.

Btw is the Headset the Cloud or Cloud II?
Cloud works with only 3.5mm jacks and Cloud II has an usb 7.1 soundcard..

And does the same happen when you connect you headset in the back plugs on you motherboard? Instead of using the plugs in the front of your case, I mean.

It's weird. At first, the pc audio was really loud to my friends on discord, then I plugged it into the back. It got quieter, but it was still there. Then, I restarted my pc, and it was loud again.

It does seem software related. Have you tried your headset using another software like teamspeak? If it doesnt do them same, try updating or reinstalling discord. You can also try it on another computer but I dont think the Headset is the issue.

Sorry for the late response, I've been busy. I tried it on skype and it wasn't playing through, but even after reinstalling discord, it still plays through...

Well, there is your answer. The problem is with Discord. Try navigating through the options to see if there is something that can improve that. I dont really use Discord so I can't help you there..

Edit: did some digging and found that using voicemeter on discord to configure inputs helps.
