Hey all,

For a week now, I've had audio sync issues. It normally occurs a few seconds to minutes after watching a video (YouTube and Netflix both do it) and generally when my PC is warmed up.
I have heard a small crackle occasionally during careful listening and passed it off as my headphones unplugging a tad ( My headphones connect through a female and male 3.5mm in the middle of the cable). Generally I don't hear it often.

I have done the following;
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Realtek
( i couldn't find an older version to try)
- Updated Windows 10
-Reinstalled video drivers
-Tried different headphones
-Tried different browser
-Tried a different program ( tried netflix app )
- Disabling every audio option but Realtek ( the one my headphones go through)
- Moving my headphone jacks to the front IO
-Messing with power saving settings

My ram is often over 50% use, I don't know if this is a contributing factor.

My specs are:
i7 7700k @4.8Ghz (1.18v i think)
GTX 1070 Gigabyte Gaming
8GB 2400Mhz RAM
240GB SSD
1TB HDD
MSI SLI z270 Mobo
Corsair H100i v2 Cooler
White Cable extensions

Thank you all in advanced, I only really come to Toms-hardware when I couldn't find an answer elsewhere :)

Solution
Exactly same problem, it must have been some broken W10 update.

I've reinstalled all drivers, messed up with tons of options - nothing helps. It suddenly starts desyncing.

Restarting PC helps for a while...

I've also tried to use clean Realtek R2.82 drivers instead of the ones from ASUS - did not help.
Also older drivers R2.81 - same.

The problem is very elusive, if you change some settings it can be gone for an hour but then it comes back.
If I watch some series it can suddenly start mid episode or right as I open a new one.

Happens in Chrome, VLC, Netflix App...

@OllieTheCool, do you find that it happens when you have a game open? I normally have Black Desert Online open in the background, I'm thinking it may be a resource issue, but in saying that, I only use like 50% cpu and 70% gpu.
