Hello all, hope someone can help with this.

I'm trying to get my PC to play audio through the Denon receiver, I tried using 3.5mm jack to dual RCA output from the green 'out' jack on the back of the motherboard into the audio in connectors on the back of the receiver (there are different sets for cbl/sat, dvd etc. tried all of them!) but am getting no sound through.

I have a cheap set of speakers that I use currently, they are plugged into the green connector and all works fine.

I managed to get the sound to work through the denon by using one of the HDMI outputs from the graphics card, but I use a dual monitor set-up so this doesn't work for me as a long-term solution.

I could be mistaken but it's possible that the green audio out is not a low 'line level' output since it's made to drive headphones. Does your audio jacks on the computer include a blue one? This is true line level out signal. Otherwise, go into your audio driver software and see if you can set the green jack as 'line out'.

thanks for responding, there is a blue one but it's marked as 'in'. I'll check the audio driver as I was messing around with it when trying to get the system working through the HDMI lead.
