[SOLVED] pc audio

So I've just built my new pc and i havent been getting any audio from my headphones using the 3.5mm jacks, ive checked and changed the drivers in a bunch of different ways and i know the headphone works. My monitor produces audio but not headphones. Do you think if i purchase some usb headphones they would work?

You can either buy USB headphone, USB soundcard or PCIe soundcard, should work fine

Have you try to setting your audio output ? and are you using HDMI and your monitor have speakers ?
Check on the sounds settings, on playback devices, does your headphone detected ? If yes, set them as default device.
