PC auto changing clock speed

I recently updated CCC for ati/amd cards and noticed that my computer now, when running low load will drop my clock speed below 3.2ghz often times to 800mhz. I was just curious if i should change it back so the speeds arent away changing/fluxating or is having it set up to where it adapts in scaling actually better for the card. Thanks in advance and my cpu is a AMD Phenom ii x4 955 be at 3.2ghz

CCC is controlling power use and saving you money. It's doing its job. No need to change anything.
