PC beeping on start up, then shutting down.

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77-HD3
Standard Intel CPU fan.

Hi Guys,

PC at home is failing to stay on, when start button is pressed, the CPU fan kicks in but turns off after a few seconds (Replaced the fan a few weeks ago as old one shit itself), then the speaker in lower right section of mobo starts a constant beeping. After roughly 20 seconds total the PC shuts down then automatically tries to start up again : repeat.

How much EXACTLY beeps are there and how long? Those beeps debug a problem, and we need to know.

Hi zombi, I timed the PC as it tries to start up it tries for 12 secs, the beeps are 4 per second non stop.

Do you happen to still have your motherboard manual? Or at least the full name of motherboard?

Manual has gone walkabouts, tried to download one but for some reason it wont load from any page. Motherboard name is at the top of the post.

Pl remove your RAMs and remove your CPU as well (just in case). Install the CPU again and install only one RAM in the slot near to the CPU. Try to boot the PC and post your results here.

2. @EasyLover; You sir are a prophet. I removed the RAM and CPU and reinstalled CPU first then moved the RAM over to NO.2 slot. PC fired up straight away. Thanks for the help.
