Question Pc bios not updating

Hello need help
I have a b550m aorus elite with R5 5600
When ever I try to update bios
The pc restarts and goes black screen I have to remove the cmos cell in order to get the display back
I have tried old new every bios version

My motherboard's revision is 1.3
I am currently on FFa version which is year old
I have tried
FE
Ffc
Ffb
Nothing works
