I have removed my motherboard and other components from the case because I am moving them to a better case. I was having issues and removed the battery and reset the BIOS. After wiring up my motherboard correctly, my computer booted up with the BIOS. It shows all of the correct USB devices connected and all of them are in the USB 2.0 slot. When I go to press F1 to run SETUP, nothing happens at all. My USB keyboard is detected, but there does not seem to be any input.

ASUS Z97I-PLUS ACPI BIOS Revision 2302
CPU: Intel i5-4690K
No GPU Connected
USB devices detected: 1 Drive, 2 Keyboards (I only have one connected though)?, 0 Mouse, 2 Hubs

It is probably displaying the bios.

If you reset the motherboard back to factory defaults, and you had a Pci-e graphics card in the system and have connected your video lead from your monitor to the Pci-e video card display output ports you will get no bios screen when you press the stated key on your keyboard to enter the bios.

Because by factory default the bios output screen and information will be displayed via the video output ports of the motherboards graphics solution instead FrostDurr

If you press the key and are met with just a black screen and no bios setup connect the video lead from the monitor to the video output ports of the motherboard.

To display the bios setup from the Pci-e based card if you have one inserted in the motherboard.
You first have to change the setting in the bios to Pci-e mode for the first or default graphics device to use and display from.

Once you change that setting in the bios and save the new changes before you exit the bios.
You can then move the video cable from the motherboard video output ports back to a video output port of the pci-e based video card placed in the Pci-e card slot of the motherboard.

Where pressing the key to enter the bios will then allow the bios setup to be displayed via the Pci-e based graphics card.

If there is no Pci-e graphics based card in the system.

Then you need to connect your usb keyboard to the two usb connections on the back of the motherboard main I/O where the circular Ps2 mouse and keyboard port is in purple and green.

Or pressing a key to enter the bios setup wil not work, if you have connected the usb keyboard to any other of the usb ports provided.

It must be connected to one of the two usb ports underneath the Ps2 mouse and keyboard port in purple and green.

I have added my GPU and my BIOS now displays with the GPU. I have tried every USB port and restarted multiple times. Still nothing. I am unable to press F1 and change anything in BIOS.

How do you know that the USB devices are connected and being read by the motherboard? Your keyboard is working but your F1 key must be faulty.

You typically can't go past POST without at least a keyboard.

Can you press any other Function key? See if F2 or F12 works. Sometimes you can navigate to the setup through other menus. See if this is possible.

My keyboard lights up when connected. I was just using it before taking apart the computer. The F1 key doesn't seem faulty. The issue here is that none of my keyboards seem to be able to give the program any commands. My pc automatically takes me to the Press F1 to run SETUP screen when I start.

Ah okay. And then pressing F1 does nothing correct? Try resetting the BIOS again if you haven't and even reseat the battery.

This will happen when the CMOS is typically cleared and needs to be set again.

Still nothing. Takes me right to the F1 screen and no functioning keyboard for any of my USB Keyboards. Maybe I need to buy an old keyboard somewhere to make this work.
