PC blue screens when starting game, but works fine after restart

I have just installed NBA 2k13 and i am getting blue screen when i start the program. But, after it restarts the program works fine. I have tried reinstalling directx 10 and 11. I updated the driver for my gpu. I uninstalled the game and ran a scan then reinstalled. Any help would be appreciated.

What does the bluescreen say? The first section is a precursor explaining what this message is saying. The second solo line item is generally an error message. READ THAT, make note, post back.

Generally a quick sweep of Google or Yahoo will explain the message and lead you to the fix. We have error messages for a reason.

Most common blue screen errors:
1. Driver related. If so, reinstall GPU drivers (use clean install option), update drivers or roll back to a previous version.

2. Heat related: Get HwMonitor (freeware) and see your temperatures. If those go too high probably your Cooler is wrongly attached to the CPU.

3. PSU related: Your PSU cant handle the load, for example if its faulty, cheap model, a cable is badly connected, etc. If so, most likely the PSU will have to be replaced.

4. Ram related: Get memtest (freeware), burn it on a cd-dvd, and run it at boot to test for memory errors. Run it at least 6 hours (Ofc if at start you getting errors, its obvious the problem lies there).

That error code seems to be related to a service(s) failing. You can check them by hitting START+R (both keys at once), typing in "services.msc" (without quotes), and flip through there.

WARNING: DO NOT RANDOMLY DISABLE SERVICES. Your machine will likely stop functioning. If you see something that you uninstalled, but it is still there (i.e. Norton's AV mess), you can safely disable that.
