PC Bluethooth Dongles/adapters Help

Ok i want one as im going to connect my PS4 controller as a game pad to my PC i know i can get any cheap one that will do but i am trying to future proof this as much as possible in the current market.

What i know is their are versions like
2.0
3.0
4.0
4.1
4.2
Each having different range power and speed.

Okay what i want know is, are these compatible with any device such as backward compatible and how many devices i can connect. I only need 3 at the same time at most.... but really even that is not needed. In any case why not if i can connect 3 devices all at the same time.

A single bluetooth adapter can connect up to 7 devices. Get a adapter that's version 4.0 or above, as earlier versions may not support certain devices. For example, BT 2.0 doesn't support headsets.

I use an Asus BT 400 at home, but it looks like the price for it has gone up recently. Try to spend less than $10 on an adaptor. Here's a good option.
