My pc is booting with "beep codes" I think you call them. I just replaced the PSU and GPU today.

Computer has the usual single beep (the good one) followed by one beep right after and then three short, back-to-back beeps. I can't find anyone talking about this "beep code"

Here is a google drive link of the video showing the beep code: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Pq6z0tYOQgeJz9-wnSMSJA8RFNGnTiBL/view?usp=sharing

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 Stock Cooler
GPU: 4070TI (from rx580)
RAM: 3200Mhz Corsair 2x16GB
PSU: AX760 (from 430W corsair)
MOTHERBOARD: B450M-A Asus

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

connect the 18pin plus the 10pin splitted "ATX24pin " connectors to the PSU side
connect the additional 8pin ATX / EPS connector to the motherboard
connect the power to the GPU as well

update the BIOS of the motherboard with your previous GPU, if it won´t boot after that

the ATX24pin is connected into both the psu and the motherboard.

8pin is connected to motherboard and psu

GPU has both PCIE cables in.

attempting to update bios now will get back to you

updated bios, still not displaying anything on the monitor but pc is turning on like before.

put your old rx580 and do it for install a new card
Hi, so I did the ddu on my rx 580 and it unfortunately did not do anything.

I then tried forcing gen 3 pcie instead of auto and that did not do anything.

I then tried disabling CSM in bios. This stopped the beeps from occurring but my computer still won't show anything on the display.

I don't know if this is progress or what, or maybe its just not beeping anymore because it's not booting properly.

Further help would be much appreciated! Anyone feel free to help out if you have any ideas.

Hi this an "off the wall" idea disconnect the PSU hold the power button for about 30 secs to discharge the motherboard take out your CMOS battery overnight then reinstall it. This will set the mother board to default settings. Try reseating the RAM and GPU in the first PCIEX 16 port ensuring the components are secure in place and reseat the GPU power cables. plug in the PSU and try to power it up. See if it beeps again. You want to only hear the POST single beep on startup ideally. 3 beeps can mean a RAM issue or failure. If possible try new matched RAM Sticks. You can also try a single RAM Stick in Slot A2. Lastly the motherboard may be faulty. I hope this helps. Kindly post your results. If this does not work please post your request for help again.

Update for any future people that are having the same issue: After trying everything, I decided to boot into bios with my old GPU and switch off "LEGACY BOOT" as I heard some of the newer Nvidia cards do not support this legacy BOOT, and only support the EUFI boot. This then booted straight away, I think I however need to add my drivers for this gpu as it will only show up in hw info but not in device manager nor task manager performance section !
