Question Pc boots 1 short beep then shuts down

As soon as I get to the splash screen on my system it just restarts and going into a continuous loop after a successful boot 1 beep

System specs below

Motherboard - Gigabyte z170x - Ultra Gaming
CPU - i7 6700k @4.8ghz
RAM - 16gb corsair vengeance @ 2400mhz
GPU - GeForce® GTX 1070 WINDFORCE OC 8G (rev. 2.0)
HDD - 120gb OCZ VERTEX 2 / 1TB Seagate Barracuda
PSU - Cooler Master MasterWatt 650w

I have tried

• resetting CMOS
• booting from usb
• taking CMOS battery out and leaving for a while
• unplugging everything
• different ram
• internal graphics
• each HDD and SSD
• Under clocking, lowering the voltage
• With and without xmp profile

Also check with your MB manufacturer. Some boards give off beeps when there is an error. One beep may mean something like memory error.

Tried different ram too? Could my motherboard be knackering ram?

The only way to tell is try the memory in another board. Beyond picking a cheap one up off eBay I'm not sure what else you can try?
