So here is the problem, I start my computer up and it shows the motherboard logo and continues to boot. But when It starts to load windows the screen turns black and nothing happens. The only solution to this that I've been doing is that I unplugged my monitor from my graphics card and turned the pc on without a monitor and after a bit I plug it back in and my sign in screen is there and everything works. Is there a better solution to fix my computer from not booting into windows?

Solution
curious if same thing happens in safe mode, still sounds like a driver issue..

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB << its just a boot disc, if you have one already don't bother with this
change boot order so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer, on 2nd screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
hit the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
PC will restart and load safe mode

if problem is drivers then it should get you into safe mode. You can run ddu in safe mode and it will do its thing.
I would think if it were a card...
that is is a fairly new card, make sure windows is up to date as well and run DDU (see link I supplied) and see if new install of drivers changes anything.

you might also need to check motherboard drivers are up to date, it might be the BIOS doesn't recognise the card since its so new.

But when I turn the pc on with hdmi plugged in the rx 480 it shows the bios and everything but when windows starts loading it freezes and the screen turns black.

I would think if it were a card problem, it wouldn't even run advanced startup (the blue menus you use to get to safe mode) or work after you login...
