Since last month I am running my PC using Screwdriver on Mobo Pins. When I Try to Put Casing Front panel wires on Pins and turn PC on it on and then off automatically. no display or boot. I read Mobo Manual and placed every front panel wire on Pin exactly but still same issue. I am tired using Screwdriver everytime.

All I do is I removed every front panel pin and I randomly touch screw driver one of those pins. It turns on and I start gaming. Until I turn off PC. Next day same method with screw driver.

PC specs:
ECS H61 H2-M2
8 GB DDr3
I5-3570
WD 1.5 TB HDD
Antec Neo Eco 620 watt Bronze +

Hi @Alishair477

Welcome to Tom's! :)

Does your case have a reset button as well? If so, plug it into where the power button plugs into your mobo. They are virtually the same type of switch internally and so can be swapped. If the power switch goes bad and is open circuit inside, it'll turn on, but then just like when your PC is on and you hold the power button in, it'll shut down your PC. If the switch is bad, it'll do both and so you'll not post.

Try that & let us know if your PC boots up. If it does, buy a new switch. They are very cheap. Usually around $5.

Hi, I swapped Pins like you said. I placed Reset switch on power pin and power switch on reset pin. Then I plugged power cable. PC didn't auto start or off. Didn't behaved like short Mobo. I pressed Reset Button . It was a long press. PC started properly. And then I pressed Power Button PC restarted. Now PC is turning on with Reset button and restarting with power button. And it is turning off with Reset button. Buttons are swapped but working.

When I placed switches on right pins. PC auto started and off. Like in a reset loop. Should I keep using that replace pins method. I don't understand why it is shorted when I place on right pins.
