PC Build - $3-4k budget quite and cool build

Hi all,

Looking at building a new system with a budget between $3-4k in AUD.

Main requirements:
- No overclocking
- Quite
- Cool temps
- Good quality monitor
- Plays latest games on high settings

Would the build I come up with be ok? I think the Asus ROG Swift is the main thing I dont want to change, but not sure if other stuff is overkill/not good enough etc. Also the LGA2011-3 stuff seems expensive for the benefits over LGA1150 which is why I went that way, but I could be wrong.

I don't know anything about watercooling but it's never been necessary in the past, and since I never wanted to touch the settings on anything I don't think I need to worry about it?

If you're only gaming, you can drop down to 2x4GB of RAM as well. If you're doing video ediitng and 3D rendering, go with an i7-4790K and 16GB of RAM

ASUS Z97-A + USB WiFi adapter is much better than the original motherboard you had selected.

I'm really fond the the Corsair 600T Graphite case, I think it looks really nice! It also has very good airflow.

Thank you for your response. Only question would be with regards to the graphics cards, are the EVGA better than the MSI? Or is it basically just personal brand preference when it comes down to different GTX 970 cards? I've always had a soft spot for MSI as I have never had a bad product from them in 10years or so since I started building PC's as a kid, but alot of reading on here keeps bring up points about bad quality assurance etc which I guess I've never had to deal with because never had any problems.

The EVGA cards were cheaper by AUD $44 each lol. EVGA, ASUS, and MSI are all very good imo. ASUS and MSI will both come with backplates preinstalled.

i know this is a way late reply, but why are the 970s shown here at the 500 dollar price? its been less than a month and i brought my gigabyte g1 for 360, has there really been that big of a price drop? you could almost tripple sli for that price
