Hoping to find a good PC build I could do for basic tasks - downloading, streaming, surfing (no gaming really on this PC, except simple online games)

Would prefer a nifty case, but nothing extreme.

SSD/HDD doesn't make much difference to me.

Will probably use some higher end photo/video editing software also

Need OS, so maybe Win 7.

Other than that, throw out some ideas.
 
What do you think of this? A bit over your budget, but would be a very nice rig for your needs.

I chose windows 8.1 because it is just better all around. I personally love it. It's also better optimized for most software, plus you will get a free upgrade top windows 10 when it is released later this year.
